This four day program is a hands-on experience that gives participants the skills of cutting mortises, tenons, rafters, tie beams, braces, girts and carving hardwood pegs. Assembling and raising what we have cut will happen on our last day. No previous experience necessary. Workshop highlights include tool care & sharpening, beam measuring & layout, square rule joinery method, rafters, posts, sills, plates, braces & ties, timber frame design principles, warm cabins, good food & campfires.
